ABOUT

Junior Civitan operates as a program under the authority of Civitan International. As Civitan International’s longest standing program, Junior Civitan brings together thousands of middle and high school students across the globe in the name of service. Our hundreds of community and school-based clubs participate in service projects like school clean-ups, collection drives, awareness campaigns, and volunteer activities at local agencies or in their own schools and communities.

BENEFITS

Being a member in-good-standing opens up a number of opportunities to grow in their skillset, meet other Junior Civitans from across the globe, receive scholarships, create memories that will last a lifetime, and most importantly– make the world a better place.

Supporting Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Just like Civitan, Junior Civitan has a special focus on helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is most visible through the Civitan International Research Center (CIRC) a world-class facility dedicated to research into illnesses such as autism, Rett syndrome, cerebral palsy, Alzheimers, and other brain disorders. Junior Civitans fundraise to support the Civitan International Research Center through All In and other fundraisers. Learn more about the CIRC.

Club, Region, and International Opportunities

Junior Civitan is divided into three levels: International, Region, and Club. In addition to serving their communities, Junior Civitans have an incredible opportunity to grow in their leadership skills by holding officer positions at any of the three levels.
