Junior Civitan district and international leaders are invited to represent the Junior Civitan program in Birmingham, Alabama at the All in Summit. Participants will enjoy a weekend full of fellowship, education, and service as they convene in the birthplace of Civitan International and the Civitan International Research Center (CIRC). Junior Civitans have incredible passion and are fundraising thousands of dollars for the CIRC through this event.

Guests arrive in Birmingham and enjoy an afternoon of icebreakers and games to get to know each other. Later, guests will enjoy a warm, southern welcome full of hospitality, charm, and traditional southern barbecue. Following dinner, guests will enjoy an evening of music and fun at a laidback social event.

The Civitan International Research Center is a world leader in the research and clinical care of intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), and other brain-related disorders. Located at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), the Civitan International Research Center is an interdisciplinary center focusing on the development of the mind-brain through a unique mission of service, education, and research.

Junior Civitan has a long-standing history of supporting the Civitan International Research Center through its many philanthropic efforts. This support has led to the breakthroughs that impact the lives of individuals all over the world and for generations to come. During the All in Summit, Junior Civitan leadership will be taken on a one-of-a-kind tour of the Civitan International Research Center and see, firsthand, how their hard work and dedication has touched the lives of so many.

Governors Update is an opportunity for Junior Civitan leaders to gather and learn from one another through engaging leadership training activities. This event includes Junior governors, Junior Civitan international board, and Junior Civitan district chairs. All in Summit chaperones are required to attend. Any vacant seats will be offered to guests through invitation only to limit distractions.

All in Summit participants and guests are invited to participate in a marathon of service event called Benefit BHM that benefits the Birmingham community. From making hygiene bags, decorating Valentine’s Day cards, assembling Ribbons for Hope, and more, these projects will benefit eight different non-profits in the Birmingham area.
