CANDIDATES FOR INTERNATIONAL OFFICE- 2026-2027 Candidates will be uploaded on May 1st.
The Junior Civitan International Board consists of 1 President, 1 Vice President and 3 at-large Directors. The below Junior Civitans have declared their intent to run for a position on the 2026-2027 International Board. The International Board will be advised by an Advisory Committee that will be comprised by a director from each Junior Civitan region, one representative from the Junior Civitan clubs in Canada, and one representative from the Junior Civitan at-large clubs outside of North America.
BrookeLynn Curry | Candidate for President
BrookeLynn Curry is a rising senior at Robinson High School and a dedicated six-year member of Junior Civitan, beginning her journey in 5th grade with the Tampa Bay Community Club and continuing with the Robinson Noble Club in Region 2. Her long-standing commitment reflects a deep passion for service, leadership, and the mission of Junior Civitan.
She has served her club as both Public Relations Coordinator and Secretary, where she strengthened communication, increased visibility, and supported organizational success. BrookeLynn has been recognized for recruiting the highest number of members, demonstrating her ability to grow engagement and expand impact.
Her service experience includes impactful initiatives such as supporting Special Olympics events, leading awareness efforts through the “Break the Silence” campaign, and coordinating the “Queen and King of Hearts” initiative, which engaged over 1,600 students in promoting kindness and connection.
Beyond Junior Civitan, BrookeLynn is actively involved in FCCLA, Student Government Association, Key Club, Band, Aerospace, Culinary, Competitive Cheer, Basketball, and Flag Football. She is dual enrolled at her local community college and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and has earned industry certifications in Culinary (ServSafe) and Aerospace (Unmanned Aircraft).
Known for her consistency, leadership, and vision, BrookeLynn is committed to strengthening Junior Civitan at every level. As a candidate for International President, she is prepared to lead with purpose, expand opportunity, and build a more connected and impactful organization.
Georgia Grace Heilig| Candidate for International Director
Georgia Grace Heilig is a dedicated member of the Salisbury Academy Junior Civitan Club in North Carolina. Since joining in 2025, she has quickly become an engaged leader, serving as Public Relations Coordinator and taking the lead on her club’s Special Olympics initiatives.
Georgia is passionate about creating inclusive and meaningful service experiences. Her favorite projects include volunteering with Special Olympics, organizing efforts to provide Christmas gifts for local elementary school students, and participating in community Blockwork projects to improve neighborhoods. These experiences have shaped her commitment to service that brings people together and makes a lasting impact.
Recognized for her welcoming and positive spirit, Georgia was honored with the “Instant Best Friend” Award at the All in Summit. She is known for her ability to connect with others and create an environment where everyone feels valued. As a candidate for International Director, Georgia is eager to continue building a more inclusive, connected, and service-driven Junior Civitan community.
Olivia Cailyn MacRae | Candidate for Vice President
Olivia MacRae is a dedicated member and Co-President of the Dundas Junior Civitan Club in Region 5 (Canada). Since joining in 2023, she has grown into a passionate leader committed to service, inclusion, and community impact.
For Olivia, Junior Civitan is more than an organization—it is a family legacy. With her grandfather founding her local Civitan Club and her father establishing the Junior Civitan club, service has always been a central part of her life. Combined with her personal connection to individuals with disabilities, this has shaped her strong commitment to advocacy and inclusion.
Olivia has led and supported numerous service initiatives, including preparing meals for families at Mark Preece House, volunteering at Club 95 inclusive social events, and participating in the Down Syndrome Walk to raise awareness and support families. As Co-President, she helps plan meetings, organize events, and create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members.
She is also actively involved in Special Olympics bowling, mentoring younger students, and participating in her school’s drama program. After attending the All in Summit, Olivia was inspired to expand her impact and contribute at the international level.
Known for her empathy, leadership, and dedication to service, Olivia is committed to building a more inclusive and connected Junior Civitan community.
Kayla McCarthy | Candidate for Vice President
Kayla McCarthy is an active and driven member of the Sandalwood Junior Civitan Club in Region 4. Since joining in 2024, she has quickly grown into a key leader within her club, serving as Secretary during the 2025–2026 year and preparing to step into the role of Club President for 2026–2027.
Kayla has played an integral role in her club’s social media presence and has helped lead impactful initiatives such as school-wide Kindness Challenges, encouraging positivity both in person and online. She is especially passionate about service that uplifts others, including creating cards for community members facing difficult circumstances and volunteering with the Alden Road Exceptional Center through events such as fundraisers, festivals, and prom.
In addition to her service and leadership, Kayla has worked to increase her club’s visibility by coordinating yearbook features and organizing club-wide efforts to highlight member involvement. Known for her energy, organization, and passion for spreading kindness, Kayla is committed to strengthening connections within Junior Civitan and inspiring others to lead through service.
Aneesa Hussein Haruna | Candidate for International Director
Aneesa Haruna is a dedicated member of the Sandalwood High School Junior Civitan Club in Region 2, where she has been actively involved since 2023. Throughout her time in Junior Civitan, Aneesa has contributed to her club’s success through her work on the fundraising committee, as a fundraising coordinator, and as a member of the social media team.
She is especially passionate about service projects that create meaningful, personal connections. Some of her most impactful experiences include organizing Valentine’s Day cards for veterans, assisting with the Alden Road Exceptional Center spaghetti dinner for students and their families, and volunteering at prom events where she helped create a joyful and inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities.
